I’m booking myself into the dentist very soon for a few things and I just had some questions about what I can get done there.

Basically, as well as obviously fixing the health issues with my teeth, I’m also trying to make their appearance look better, as we all try and aspire to do. So I was wondering if dentists ever file down your teeth a little? I’m not talking about anything drastic, just a little bit here and there to make their appearance a little more flawless, like do celebrities do that? Or are the perfect teeth they are constantly showcasing to us just veneers?

Also, I have a chip in my teeth at the front, its between my front two teeth.. its something that has really effected me my entire life and my self esteem big time, but regardless of how much it upset me, I was told by my dentist it wasnt possible to rectify until I was 18 because my teeth werent done growing. So now that I am 18, i’m FINALLY going to get it fixed.. but i’m just wondering how they are going to do that? because as the chip is on both teeth, I can’t really see how they would do that with a filling or something. So how would they do it?

Also, I’m going to have a pretty intense procedure done on my teeth besides the above, I was wondering is it common to be prescribed tranquilizers for these kinds of things (like root canal) I know someone who has in the not too distant past, but is it common or uncommon?

i have braces now but in 2 years it will be taken off and i was wondering if i can get veneers right after my braces are taken off?

I’d like to know how expensive or cheap are and whether they are considered good crowns to have.. Also I thought the term crown was the replacing of the whole tooth but can ‘veneers‘ be termed crowns also?

Here’s my opinion:
I think Demi is the prettiest because she has beautiful, natural features. Selena tries way too hard and still has a pudgy baby face. Miley is the farthest away from being pretty. She looks better now that she got teeth veneers but before that she was nasty. But all three of them have pretty hair.

What do you guys think? Everyone can have their own opinion! :p

I really know. I heard that whitening can make your teeth fragile but then I heard veneers hurt when they are shaving your tooth. I have fluoride spots on my teeth if you’ve been in this please tell me!!!!

I moved from a place that wasn’t that nice. Somebody was living in it at the time I checked it out so I was only able to check it out for 5 minutes. So, I didn’t notice how bad it really was till I moved in. Anyways, the cabinets were the dark veneer from the 70’s, the wall paper and the tile in the kitchen was from the 70’s. The kitchen floor also had a huge hole in the tile which was covered up when I checked out the place. The bathroom had an old crusty shower handle and sink faucet that looked disgusting. The toilet was crusty inside no matter how hard I tried to clean it. The shower doors had permanent water stains. I even took them down and brought them outside and cleaned with every strong chemical and it didn’t work.
Well, I got sick of it and knew that the landlord wasn’t going to invest money into the place. Without permission I painted over the kitchen wall, placed peel and stick tile over the kitchen floor that had a huge hole in the tile and added a ceramic back-splash over the stove. In the bathroom I replaced the toilet with a brand new one. Replaced the shower handle and sink faucet. Everything looked 10 times better. My landlord noticed this and commented on handy I was and what an excellent tenant I was. I even planted some nice plants outside that cost me 0. I even had a stranger knock on my door and tell me how nice it looked. The landlord said it looked beautiful. He mentioned a couple of times that he would never raise my rent because of such a good tenant I was and how I improved the place.
The lease was from July 01, 08 – June 30, 09. Then it stated after this period it would be a month to month tenancy. Well 30 days passed and he didn’t contact me in any way or returned my deposit. Since I moved out of town my Dad called him on my behalf. He made excuses. Then he tried to use some dirty tricks from the lease to convince my Dad not to bother him. Some of the things he tried to use were not legally enforceable I know because I looked into it. Well, finally today I got a certified letter from him that I owe him for 00 for damages that I did to the cabinets that he told me he was planning on replacing anyways when he had the time because they were old and ugly. However, he said instead of suing me he would keep my deposit instead.
I don’t want to sue him because it is too much of a gamble and I might never see my money even if I win. I was wondering if there is somewhere I can report him to.

I was at the dentist yesterday, my two front teeth were halfway gone, i fell down the stairs.
Im 14. They had to do two root canals, i went physco, they gave me 4 shots in my mouth, a pill, and even gas too, and i still wasn’t calm and was feeling pain. After 2 hours of screaming & crying, they finally noticed i wasnt gonna let them drill in my f!*@$cking teeth! So, he did some temporary bonding and made me have some temporary teeth. I’m suppose to go back next week to try again and if i can’t do it i’m being sedated. I’m not gonna let them do it. Once the nerve is dead, the root canal won’t hurt, correct? So my question is, How long will it take for the nerve to die even though its covered with a fake bonded tooth? It hurts a little but i’m fine. I’d rather wait to have the nerve die, then have a painless root canal and have porcelain veneers put on.
Please help.

dont bother telling me i need braces or that i should get veneers because i live in ireland and its not free dental here so i cant afford it ! i just want to know if its safe or will they be able to do it ? heres a picture of my teeth
